Advocating for education

PLEASANT HILL ELEMENTARY School parents and students visited their state legislators in Sacramento on Feb. 18, delivering letters to the offices of Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, state Sens. Mark DeSaulnier and Dave Cox; and Assembly members Tom Torlakson and Nancy Skinner, all written by students advocating for education. DeSaulnier took the children on a tour of the Senate floor and Skinner met with the group before the Pleasant Hill contingent joined students and parents from Pacifica and demonstrated in front of the Capitol.
