Marian and Louis Mangini are hosting a summer BBQ Dinner in honor of Mark DeSaulnier and his campaign for State Senate on Saturday, August 16.

The event will run from 4-7 p.m., with the BBQ dinner served at 5 p.m.

Mark will speak at the grand opening of the Walnut Creek Unified Democratic Campaign office on Saturday, August 23, from 3-5 p.m. The office is located at 1501 North California Blvd, Ste A, Walnut Creek.

Mark plans to attend the September meeting of the Contra Costa County Mayor's Conference in Antioch from 6:30-8:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 4 from 6:30-8:30 p.m.

Mark will attend the annual Pittsburg Seafood Festival Zinfandel Dinner at the Pittsburg Marina on September 5, 2008, from 6-9 p.m.

Mark is going to join Joan Buchanan for a joint precinct walk in Oakley and Brentwood on Saturday, October 4.

Joan Buchanan's campaign for State Assembly is a key race for the State Legislature and Mark is committed to helping her win. Please join Mark and the team for the walk, which will start at 10 a.m. at Cypress Grove Park, 4001 Frank Hengel Way in Oakley.

Mark will attend and make presentations a the American Red Cross' Contra Costa Heroes Breakfast on Friday, October 17, at Scott's Seafood Grill in Walnut Creek.

Mark will join local clergy, community leaders, and elected officials at a rally to express their shared opposition to Proposition 8, the initiative on the California ballot that would eliminate the right of same-sex couples to marry.

The rally will be held at the Mt. Diablo Unitarian Universalist Church, 55 Eckley Lane, Walnut Creek beginning at 11 a.m. on October 22, 2008. Senate President pro Tempore Don Perata, Assemblymember Loni Hancock, Supervisor John Gioia, and other leaders are expected to attend.

Mark is on the Honorary Host Committee of John Gioia's 20/50 celebration, honoring Contra Costa County Supervisor John Gioia's 20th year in elected office and 50th birthday. All proceeds to benefit the RYSE Youth Center in Richmond. Click here for more information.
